Codenomicon’s product family DEFENSICS makes it possible to detect and remedy data security flaws in software already before the product or service is released – well before malevolent parties manage to produce malware or initiate denial-of-service attacks. With the help of DEFENSICS, software companies can anticipate unknown and published vulnerabilities, improve the quality and reliability of their software, and protect their brand.

DEFENSICS products offer the widest selection of tools on the market for data security testing. Over 120 protocols can be tested, including both wireless and older network technologies, and different file structures, such as image and video formats. The testing tools are easy to use and simple to combine with other, more extensive testing processes. DEFENSICS automatically runs and documents thousands of test cases and fault localisation processes throughout all the phases of product or service development.

The clients of Codenomicon include several internationally recognised companies in the telecommunications and software sector. Codenomicon testing tools make it possible to test different communication interfaces from mobile client equipment to internet infrastructure appliances and next-generation networks.

Codenomicon Oy was established in 2001 and today it employs a staff of 50. Codenomicon has its main office in Oulu, Finland with additional offices in Vantaa, Finland, Silicon Valley, USA, and Hong Kong. Exports account for 70% of the company’s turnover. At the moment, the company is growing rapidly.
