Walk-thru Wall

FogScreen Inc. is patenting a technology that enables images and video films to be projected onto the air. In the near future, you may therefore walk through advertisements, for example in shopping centres. Later on, you may watch TV programmes projected onto the air as in the film Star Wars.

The internationally unique technology is based on a process where a screen type of sheet is made of fog, and images can be projected onto it with an ordinary projector. You can walk through the screen and watch it from both sides. The screen also appears and disappears in no time. It is also possible to make a very thin fog layer which is not visible. Then you can only see the projected images in the air without the screen.

Advertising companies have expressed interest in the Walk-thru Wall, because eye-catching images are essential in advertising. There are, however, many other ways to use the Wall: it is intended for professional use at trade fairs, museums, in shops etc. When launching a new product, a product video can first be projected onto the fog screen and after that the new product can appear through it. The fog screen also enables sterile touch screens, for example in hospitals. By touching the air, you use a computer or some other device.

FogScreen Inc. was established in the summer of 2003 in order to commercialise the Walk-thru Wall. The company has already attracted significant media attention all over the world and is expected to bring forth a new kind of display technology called ?airborne displays?. FogScreen Inc. is currently conducting business negotiations with several countries. In order to expand the business, the company is now also negotiating for a capital investment.
