Custom-made heavy load handling system

Ab Solving Oy specialises in developing and manufacturing customised systems for moving heavy loads. The company offers total solutions, which comprise services from design to after-sales activity. The moving equipment is based on the use of Ab Solving Oy’s own air bearings or on wheel concepts, and they are equipped with controls, drive units, and additional functions. The company chooses, in close co-operation with its customers, the technology that best fits the project.

The company has a full range of products from simple, manually operated handling equipment to driverless, automated moving systems. Customers use the products throughout the world in vehicle as well as paper and graphic industry; in metal and steel industry, and in heavy electrical industry. ABB, Wärtsilä, Airbus, Stora Enso and M-Real are examples of international companies that use moving equipment in their production. The wings of the world’s biggest passenger aircraft, Airbus A380, for example, are during the production phase moved by a customised Solving air bearing truck.

Ab Solving Oy was established in 1977. Today the company employs a staff of around 60. Exports account for 85% of the turnover.
