User-oriented research and design

Idean Research Oy, established in 1999, is a service enterprise focusing on the production and utilisation of user information. It functions in the mobile and telecommunication branch. By means of productified services, the company tests its customers' products both on the domestic and the international market and creates novel product and concept innovations in order to enhance the customers' competitiveness.

The utilisation of user and market information in product design and product development requires extensive know-how combined with the modelling and analysing of the end user's activities. Idean Research Oy is building up a multidisciplinary expert organisation within three areas: the analysis of usability and user experience, the utilisation of market researches, and user interface and interaction design.

Idean Research Oy provides services by means of which a product's usability and user experience can be optimised. Flexible function and appropriate design combined with a pleasant experience result in attractive and successful products. The services of the company cover all stages in the product's lifespan.

Idean Research Oy has its headquarters in Innopoli, Espoo. It has branch offices in Tampere and Jyväskylä as well as in Great Britain, China and Singapore. Idean Research Oy employs 40 people, who are experts in different professions. In 2006, the company has been involved in 50 international projects in 20 countries, on three continents. At the moment, its partner network consists of 22 enterprises in different fields.
